Ontario County
Child Passenger Safety Success

We received a copy of the following note from Deputy Kevin Owens of the Ontario County Sheriff's Office on Monday, December 17, 2001:

We now have tangible evidence that our efforts in Child Passenger Safety have been fruitful.

Yesterday, Deputy Denosky responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 245 in the Town of Seneca.  One vehicle had already left the roadway after losing control due to frost on the road.  A second vehicle lost control, struck the first vehicle and rolled over at least once.  It came to rest on it's top.  The second vehicle was operated by Colleen Moore from Naples and her two year old daughter was in the vehicle.  The two year old was properly secured in a child safety seat and although she hung upside down for a short period of time, she was uninjured.  Now for the good news...

We installed the seat.

Ms. Moore was very happy with us and the service we provided.  Charlie prepared a press release (posted on the bulletin board) and I will send a message to Deb Lotito at the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee.  Hopefully this will be posted on their website.

Way to go guys!!!  Keep up the good work!

Congratulations on a job well done, and thanks for sharing the happy ending of this story and your success.
