Buckle Up New York May Wave On-line Reporting
Please have your enforcement totals ready. We will ask:
- Number of seatbelt tickets issued:
- Number of child passenger tickets issued:
- Number of all V&T issued, including all safety restraints:
- And number of checkpoints and what time of day.
If you have done the required seat belt use survey, please have that information ready. Please report the use rate as a percent. To get this rate, total all the YES and all of the NO observations then add together to get TOTAL observations, and calculate the percent of seat belt use by dividing the YES totals by the total observations and then multiply by 100.
Example
YES= 75
NO = 30
TOTAL observations 105
Formula is (75/105) x 100 = 71.4%
