Hello, I'm Dave Swarts

As Commissioner of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles and Chair of the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee, I am pleased to welcome you to a new website called the Traffic Safety Toolkit. This site has been specifically developed for School Resource Officers and educators like you.

The core mission of the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee is to promote a Safe New York. As SROs you are in a unique position to help us in that mission by educating younger drivers on the importance of traffic safety. You serve as a direct link to our teen driving population. As a result, you have a strong impact on decisions they make on and off our roadways.

This new website is a one stop shopping point for all traffic safety information and resources that support your traffic safety efforts. I hope you will enjoy using the website and the resources it has to offer.
