Dear Traffic Safety Associate:

New York State has an admirable highway safety record which has been achieved through the concerted and cooperative efforts of many organizations in both the public and private sectors of our Empire State.

The Governor's Traffic Safety Committee will once again recognize the special contributions private sector companies and corporations have made to traffic safety with its "Partners for Safety Awards."

All nominees must demonstrate exceptional effort in traffic safety initiatives and programs that help promote traffic safety while making more efficient use of private and public resources. In addition, the effort must be achieved without cost to taxpayers.

Please submit your written nominations to the "Partners for Safety" Award Committee, Room 414, at the above address by March 1, 2000 to keep the selection process on schedule. The nomination should include an explanation of why the nominee should be recognized. The awards ceremony is tentatively scheduled to take place in April. You may submit as many nominees as you wish.
